‘Our 1/2 X 20’ can be used independently, or can be purchased if additional length is needed for the 1/2″ Kit!
This carpet edging will specifically work on most boats, many model boats such as *RANGER *NITRO* TRITON*and SKEETER* and many more come factory direct with a molding which attaches where the fiberglass meets carpet.All moldings and trims are proudly manufactured in the United States using the finest quality materials to provide easy installation and long lasting performance. Our Product is specifically Designed & Manufactured for Marine applications, made with Virgin PVC Compounds and 3M Acrylic Foam Tape. The moldings are flexible and easy to work with. This Molding is compatible with Our end caps and Rivets.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
After carpet installation is complete, wipe down fiberglass with warm soap and water. thoroughly dry.
(step 2) the moulding comes with 3m self adhesive backing, remove protective paper in 16″ increments.
(step 3) push rounded corner firmly down into carpet.
(step 4) put a 45 DG. angle on exposed ends, using a sharp scissors, on sharp fiberglass corners notch the back of moulding for a perfect outside fit.
(Step 5) you may/may not need black rivets/ depending on quality/amount of bends/angles in fiberglass. also when applying, moulding is very plyable, but in cooler temperatures a heat gun may be used.
